Meet the staff

Patrick Patterson

Patrick graduated from Imlay City in 1998 and received his Bachelor’s degree in business from Western Michigan University in 2003. He served 10 years as the financial services manager for Michigan’s Largest 401(k) provider. He is currently the Executive Director for BWROC, the Blue Water Recovery and Outreach Center where he uses his past struggle with addiction to help others. Patrick serves on a local school board and co-chairs the Michigan Recovery Community Collective to help improve legislative policy for recovery communities across Michigan. Patrick also consults other non-profits on improving their growth though the Community Foundation of St. Clair County. 

He is passionate about his relationship with Christ, giving back, uniting the community and spending time with his daughter.  Patrick is a key driver for hope, advocacy and change in our national fight against addiction.

Nicole Bickel

On September 18th 2017 Nicole made a decision to change her life and build a life of recovery. Her journey is filled with triumphs, learning new things and just being available where she is needed. She continues to develop her spiritual foundation through yoga and is an active member in recovery. Nicole is a mother, a partner, a daughter, a person in long term recovery, and peer recovery coach for BWROC, Blue Water Recovery and Outreach Center.

Eric Webster

Eric was born and raised in Southwest Detroit where he spent most of his active addition. Today he’s Grateful that he gets the opportunity to be a State of Michigan, CCAR Certified Peer Recovery Coach at Blue Water Recovery and Outreach Center. His Long Term Recovery journey began back on July 15th of 2011 as a client of Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center.

With the aid of a Sacred Heart Rehab Center education, a Vision Quest Recovery lived experience, and a fortified 12 step program, has afforded Eric the ability to take up arms against and assist others struggling with Substance Use Disorder.

Today Eric has an immense understanding of the phrase; You can only keep what you have by freely giving it away! Eric has expressed “What a beautiful feeling to inspire and witness others walk the journey of Recovery!” Imagine that! From a Gutter Dweller to An Inspirational Hope Giver. All with the Grace of GOD!
